Toyota's "GR Supra" supercar, latest teaser reveals "exterior panel installation"—to be unveiled in Sydney on September 1, displayed at Bathurst in October, and wind tunnel testing in the United States in December.

Toyota has released the latest teaser for the new "GR Supra" supercar, which is being developed for participation in Australia's "Repco Supercars Championship." On August 20, 2025 (Japan time), they unveiled the process of "attaching composite exterior panels to the chassis." According to Supercars.com, the vehicle will be officially unveiled in Sydney on September 1 (Monday) and is also scheduled to be displayed at the "Bathurst 1000" event in October. Ahead of its full participation in 2026, there are plans to conduct aerodynamic parity testing in December at the Windshear wind tunnel facility in North Carolina, USA, alongside the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. In its debut year, the team will field a total of six cars (two by homologation partner Walkinshaw Andretti United = WAU, and four by Brad Jones Racing = BJR). The power unit will feature the 5.0L naturally aspirated "2UR-GSE" V8, which has been used in Lexus F models and the LC500. Following the previously released "initial start-up sound" video and the teaser of chassis welding and assembly, this third teaser brings us one step closer to the overall appearance of the car.
