Toho has announced the postponement of the live-action film "Osomatsu-san: Humanity's Trashification Plan!!!!!?" starring Aぇ! group. The new release date remains undecided.

Toho officially announced on October 28, 2025, that the release of the live-action film 'Osomatsu-san: Humanity's Degeneration Plan!!!!!?' will be postponed. Initially scheduled for a nationwide release on January 9, 2026 (Friday), the release has been delayed "after considering various circumstances and consulting with all parties involved," with the new release date yet to be determined. This film is the second live-action adaptation of the popular anime 'Osomatsu-san,' starring Aぇ!group and Takuya Nishimura. It had garnered attention for featuring six actors playing sextuplets. One of the cast members, Richard Keita Kusama (29) from Aぇ!group, was arrested and charged with public indecency on October 4, 2025, and was later released and apologized. His agency announced a suspension of his activities. There have been numerous reports and suggestions that this series of incidents influenced the decision to postpone the release. Toho and the production committee commented, "We deeply apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the release, as well as to the cast, staff, and all related parties. We will announce the new release schedule on the official website and official SNS as soon as it is decided." The film is being treated as "postponed" rather than "canceled."
