Why did SpaceX invest such a significant amount to acquire Cursor?

The key is that Cursor is not just a code editor but serves as an "entry point" for developers to use AI models.

In Cursor, users can switch between multiple AI models depending on their objectives.

The ability to choose the model best suited for each task, such as advanced design, code generation, bug fixing, refactoring, and research, was one of Cursor's major attractions.
