What has evolved in the "iPhone 17/17 Pro"? — A thorough spec comparison with the iPhone 16 series, including the ultra-thin "iPhone Air"

2025年09月10日 23:52
In 2025, Apple's new lineup includes the "iPhone 17," "iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max," and the ultra-thin "iPhone Air" at just 5.6mm. The common features are: ① the latest A19 generation (with A19 Pro for the Pro models) and the new N1 wireless chip supporting Wi-Fi 7/Bluetooth 6/Thread, ② outdoor peak brightness of 3000 nits with front-reinforced Ceramic Shield 2, ③ an 18MP front camera with automatic framing "Center Stage" across all models, ④ standard models finally supporting ProMotion (120Hz), and ⑤ enhanced durability with reinforced glass on the front and back (with Ceramic Shield on the back for Pro/Air models). The Pro models feature a new unibody aluminum structure and a large vapor chamber, significantly improving performance and battery life, achieving up to 8x optical-quality zoom. The iPhone Air combines the A19 Pro with a C1X modem in a thin body, balancing 27 hours of playback (as reported) with lightness. Compared to the iPhone 16 generation, there are comprehensive upgrades in display, wireless capabilities, front camera, battery, and initial storage capacity (starting at 256GB for standard models).
