However, the presence of cautious opinions does not mean we can be complacent. With products used on a massive scale, even if individual risks are low probability, they can become significant in number if the base is large. According to safety-related information published by OpenAI in 2025, a certain percentage of weekly users exhibited signs of suicidal ideation or mental emergencies, with outlets like the Guardian reporting on the scale of this issue. While caution is needed in interpreting the numbers, the problem is not "rare enough to ignore" but "too significant to ignore when translated into numbers." For general users, AI may be a convenient tool, but for those in vulnerable states, it can become a device that disrupts reality testing.

So, what is needed? Three points emerge as current issues. First, the detection of crisis signs and the criteria for stopping conversations need to be more stringent and transparent. What is being questioned now is not whether AI is smart, but to what extent it "plausibly aligns" with a fractured sense of reality.
